He realized that to grow more in his academic career, and hence in career growth, he had to reach out to something high. He put his work toward the highest by enrolling in the postgraduate program of the Indian Institute of Science, one of the prestigious institutions in India. Graduating from IISc enhanced his knowledge and opened opportunities for a better career.
After completing post-graduation, Sharan got his first job with an attractive salary of rupees twenty lakhs per annum. It seemed like the dawn of relative accomplishment- financial protection, a stable life, and yet again a better career to soul ahead. But all that was not what Sharan wished. His dream was to become an IPS officer, an Indian Police Service officer. His father also never let go of that dream for his son. Thus, despite the job security that was present in the position, Sharan declined the offer. He was more committed towards his dream of serving the nation and becoming an IPS officer than just getting into this financial comfort.
A Journey into the World of UPSC
The determining factor in Sharan’s life that led him to the national capital of India, New Delhi, was his desire to realise his teenage dream, which involved getting ready for UPSC CSE examinations. Despite this push and pull and the numerous other detailed issues that needed to be resolved, both in terms of personal stamina and resources, the certiorari syllabus, as one of the world’s most negligible existence subjects, remains among the very partnerships. The next year, 2020, was completely pursued by Sharad when he appeared in UPSC CSE and bagged a rank of 542 all over India. The journey of his dream for years was achieved.
The success of Sharad Kamble in UPSC-CSE not only tiptoed him to the IPS that he was going to walk into but reminded us of the significance of perseverance, dedication and an eventual overcoming of adversities. This journey seemed a starting point for numerous promising young aspirants who could be facing social or financial difficulties while preparing for competitive examinations.
